There has been so much talk recently about the battle between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe, with the serious comic book movies taken centre stage on the big screen. While it has been nice to see some elements of comedy being implemented into some of these films, it would actually be quite fun to see an actual comedy take on these superhero movies being made.
Well, it seems that this is exactly what we are about to get, with the upcoming new movie Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars, which not only makes fun of the Marvel movies and DC films, it also has a little dig at the Star Wars universe. While Gal Gadot has been getting a lot of headlines as Wonder Woman, we are going to see Amy Smart as a parody of the character in Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars.
We really are looking forward to seeing whether this movie will be a hit or a complete flop, with Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars being described as, "While trying to remain a good husband and father, Superbat and the Avengers of Justice come out of retirement to stop Dark Jokester and Lisp Luthor from freezing the planet."
The cast for this new movie includes Simon Rex as Dark Jokester, Jason Alan Smith as Tony Starch, Shawn Michaels as Incredible Master Yoga, Jeff Chase as Thorbacca, and Stephen Rannazzisi as Superbat, among many other interesting takes on characters. Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars is currently in post-production and we hope to see it hit the big screen sooner rather than later.
