There were quite a few surprised people, when it was announced that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were dating, but it really does look like the couple are having a lot of fun together and they do seem very much in love. Blake has been heaping praise on his girlfriend, insisting that being with someone as amazing as Gwen is always good for his ego.
Shelton was chatting to ET Online, when he said, "Oh my God, at some point, it kinda builds your ego up when you walk into a room with Gwen. But also it's a crashing blow to your ego when you realise all the cheers and people shouting at you. You realise it's not you, it's her! But it's still exciting at the same time. Being in the vicinity of her is unbelievable."
As well as gushing over his girlfriend, Blake Shelton is also having to come to terms with the fact that Gwen Stefani will not be rejoining him as one of the coaches on The Voice, along with the departing Alicia Keys. Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson will be replacing the duo, but Blake has suggested that it might not be the last that we have seen from his former fellow coaches.
Shelton added, "'I've looked ahead. This is like those 'Harry Potter' movies. Those characters that you think are gone, then they come back. Alicia ... I've already looked ahead on the script, and they have her coming back."
It will certainly be interesting to see whether the latest season of The Voice can live up to the impressive seasons we have had so far.
