Last year we were treated to a number of impressive movies but there was one that was quite surprisingly impressive, with many people around the world getting on board with how good the film was. That movie was Edge of Tomorrow, which saw Emily Blunt starring alongside Tom Cruise and, following the ever-growing fanbase, there has been talk of a potential Edge of Tomorrow sequel.
Tom Cruise has since claimed that he has a great idea for an Edge of Tomorrow sequel, which has raised hopes that we could see the sequel happening. Now, Emily Blunt has opened up about the possibility of reprising her role as Rita in and Edge of Tomorrow sequel and, while Emily did sound keen to begin with, she did go on to admit that she finds movie sequels scary.
During a recent video interview with Uproxx, Blunt touched on the possibility of an Edge of Tomorrow sequel, when she explained, "I would for sure! But the idea would have to be good; it would just have to be a great idea. I don’t want to dilute how great the first one is with a second one that’s not as good. I’m terrified of sequels, to be honest with you."
While we have to admit that we did love the first Edge of Tomorrow movie, we are not too sure about having a sequel made, as they pretty much wrapped things up with the first film. With that said, money talks and if Tom Cruise does genuinely have a great idea, we are pretty sure that an Edge of Tomorrow sequel will come our way in the not too distant future.
