Comic book fans have been calling for DC and Warner Bros. to get their act together and bring them a Wonder Woman movie that they have been craving for so many years and it seems that they are finally beginning to get things going. As we all know by now, Warner Bros. and DC have got a very busy schedule, with a number of characters coming to the big screen between now and 2020.
We are going to see Wonder Woman appear on the big screen in the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before then going on to appear in the Justice League movie and finally getting her own Wonder Woman standalone film. While fans are delighted that Wonder Woman is finally getting brought to the big screen, there have been some concerns over the casting of the character.
Actress Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman for the next few years and it has now been rumoured that the Wonder Woman standalone movie is on the verge of getting a director. If the rumours are to be believed then the Wonder Woman movie is looking more and more likely to be directed by Michelle MacLaren, who has worked on both Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.
While Michelle MacLaren has enjoyed success on the small screen, she has yet to actually direct a big screen project and there are some concerns that a huge project such as Wonder Woman might not be the best way to get into directing feature films. Nothing has yet been officially finalised and we still have some time before production begins for things to change.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to hit the big screen on June 23, 2017.
