There are some fantastic movie makers in Hollywood these days and one of the most popular in the business these days would have to be the hugely talented Guillermo del Toro, who has given us some brilliant films over the years. While many fans are calling for Guillermo to bring us Hellboy 3 or the Justice League Dark movie, he has other projects to focus on first.

Guillermo del Toro has just released his latest movie and it looks like he has taken inspiration from a previous project of his. Guillermo brought us the brilliant 2006 movie Pan's Labyrinth and he has now compared his new movie Crimson Peak to that masterpiece.
Del Toro explained, "Crimson Peak is the ghost-story equivalent of Pan’s Labyrinth. It has the combination of several genres, and the fact that we are packing the punch of a traditional ghost story with the class and beauty of a classic. The elements for successful horror films often come hand-in-hand with a religious set of beliefs."

He added, "They deal with the supernatural in a particular religious way: demons, damnation, hell. In a gothic romance you get a great love story, you get supernatural elements, you get really spooky scenes…all those things combined make a beautiful, gorgeous-looking movie."
As well as directing the movie Guillermo del Toro also penned the screenplay for Crimson Peak along with Matthew Robinson, while assembling a fantastic cast for the film. Crimson Peak will star Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam, and Jessica Chastain, to name just a few, with the movie hitting the big screen yesterday (October 16) in both the US and the UK.
