When we take a look at some of the new movies that are coming our way in the coming years, one of the things we do like to look out for is new films that are being adapted from a hit novel or book. There have been plenty that have been made over the years, with plenty more being made in the future and, while some have struggled to really translate on the big screen, there are others that have been hugely successful.

Well, one of the new movies that is coming our way, which is based on a hugely successful novel, is the upcoming movie The Sisters Brothers, which we cannot wait to see on the big screen, to see how it compares to how we see the novel in our minds. There is already an impressive cast coming together for The Sisters Brothers, with Jake Gyllenhaal, John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix all preparing to start shooting the project.
If you have not read the novel and you are keen to know what the movie will be about, The Sisters Brothers is described as, "The Sisters Brothers revolves around the colourfully named gold prospector Hermann Kermit Warm, who's being pursued across 1000 miles of 1850s Oregon desert to San Francisco by the notorious assassins Eli and Charlie Sisters. Except Eli is having a personal crisis and beginning to doubt the longevity of his chosen career. And Hermann might have a better offer."

The Sisters Brothers is expected to be directed by Jacques Audiard, who also penned the screenplay for the movie, adapting it from the hit Patrick Dewitt novel. While there is no release date for the movie yet, it did move into pre-production this year, with the likelihood that it will start shooting in the near future, with an aim for a 2018 release date.
