There have been some absolutely huge books being adapted for the big screen over the years, with some of them going on to become huge movie franchises, so when it was announced that the hugely successful Fifty Shades books were being adapted for the big screen, many people expected that it would follow suit. With that said though, the movies have been less than impressive, although they have made an OK amount of money at the box office.
Irish actor Jamie Dornan plays the lead role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades movies and, since getting cast in that role it really does feel like that is all we ever talk about when it comes to the actor. Fortunately though, Jamie is a very busy actor who has a number of new movie projects lined up for the future, with the most exciting one that we are most looking forward to being the new Robin Hood movie.
While Jamie Dornan will not be playing the titular role in the new Robin Hood movie, that role goes to the very talented Taron Egerton, he will be taking on the role of Will Scarlett in the film. Since there have been so many different Robin Hood movies over the past few years, with so many different versions of the same characters from the legendary tale, it is certainly going to be interesting to see how Jamie delivers his performance as Will Scarlett.
As well as starring Taron Egerton and featuring Jamie Dornan, the rest of the Robin Hood cast will include the likes of Jamie Foxx, Ben Mendelsohn, and Eve Hewson, among many others. Robin Hood is being directed by Otto Bathurst, based on the screenplay that has been adapted by Jody Harold, with the movie set to open on March 23, 2018.
