When it comes to making a biopic about a legend of the entertainment industry, there are not many actors that you could get involved that the hugely talented Jamie Foxx. Over the years we have seen Jamie playing a number of different people in biopics, including his Oscar-winning performance as Ray Charles in the movie Ray, and now it looks like he is set to portray another legend on the big screen.
There has been talk for a few years now that 46-year-old actor Jamie Foxx is in talks to play the 48-year-old heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson on the big screen, in a movie about his life. The film will focus on the life of Mike Tyson between the age of 20 up until the present day and Mike has admitted that, thanks to the improvements in technology, they are now moving ahead with the movie.
Tyson explained, "Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it. Within a year to 18 months, we're going to do the Mike Tyson story and he's going to portray me, and now they have this new animation, because you know Jamie's pretty much my age so he can portray me but they have this new system."
As well as Jamie Foxx being in line to play the role of Mike Tyson in the new biopic, Mike has also claimed that Martin Scorsese is in line to direct the project. The movie is set to be titled Champion and we are looking forward to learning more about the project in the coming months
