There were rumours of Joe Manganiello playing Deathstroke in The Batman for a long time, before it was finally confirmed, and we cannot wait to see the actor playing the role on the big screen. Now, Joe has been teasing fans what they can expect from the character, suggesting that they are going to love his take on Deathstroke.
Manganiello explained, "Yeah, I guess there was a TV show but I haven't seen it. I won't watch it. This is my character, an exciting one, and has the capacity I think, to be a great villain. And what all the great ones can do is polarise an audience. When I was a kid I always rooted for the villain. As a kid, I think I would have rooted for him and I think fans will."
As well as talking about his character Deathstroke in the new Batman movie, Joe Manganiello also went on to talk about getting to work with Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns on the project and it seems that they are all getting along well. Joe was full of praise for both Ben and Geoff, and the actor believes that they are going to deliver on the movie.
Manganiello added, "I've known them all for years and I'm very excited to work with everyone. Ben Affleck makes great films and he's a great Batman. Geoff Johns certainly is a really fun guy to hang around with and has a great grasp on this steering wheel that is the Titanic of the DCEU. Knowing what they have planned for the future, I think fans are really gonna love it."
There have been a lot of rumours about what to expect from The Batman, when it will begin shooting, and when it will be released but, for now, there is nothing official to report, but we will keep you posted.
