While we have all become big fans of the Marvel team up movies, getting to see our favourite superheroes coming together on the big screen, we do still enjoy those standalone projects, which give us a closer look at the smaller characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unfortunately though, it looks like a number of these small characters are being taken for granted and being tossed aside.
One such example of this is with the new movie Thor: Ragnarok, which is supposedly not going to feature many, if any, scenes set on Earth, which means that some of our favourite characters from the first two movies are not going to appear. While most of the talk has been about Natalie Portman not returning as Jane for Thor: Ragnarok, many fans are more disappointed at the lack of Kat Dennings as Darcy.
There was once a call for Kat Dennings to get her very own Darcy spinoff TV series, although we are not quite sure how that would have worked. And, while the fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are disappointed that Kat will not be returning as Darcy in Thor: Ragnarok, it seems that the actress is a little disappointed herself.
A supposed insider explained, "Kat has a very loyal fanbase and she always tries to do her best to keep them happy. When she heard that he fans were disappointed not to see her returning as Darcy, this made her disappointed herself. Kat enjoyed playing the character but, at the end of the day, she has no say on the matter."
We guess we are just going to have to make do with seeing Kat Dennings continuing in her role as Max in Two Broke Girls. Such a shame!
