British beauty Lena Headey has been working hard in Hollywood for many years now, appearing in a whole host of top television shows and movies along the way, enjoying her fair share of success during that time. With that said though, it is now probably fair to say that the talented actress will be forever known for playing the role of Cersei Lannister in the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones.
However, as is often the case with a lot of television shows, and as a number of her Game of Thrones co-stars also do, Lena Headey likes to take her time between shooting seasons of the show, to head off and work on some other projects, usually making a movie during her hiatus. That is exactly what she is doing now, as she is currently working on her new movie The Flood, while we await the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere.
As well as having a big role in the new movie, Lena Headey will also serve as an executive producer on The Flood, which will also see her sharing the big screen with fellow Game of Thrones star Iain Glen, while the rest of the cast will also feature such talented Hollywood names as Ivanno Jeremiah and Jack Gordon, to name just a couple of them.
The Flood only began shooting a few days ago, with the very impressive Anthony Woodley on directing duties for the project, bringing to life the screenplay which has been developed by Helen Kingston, who actually worked together in the past on the 2015 sci-fi movie The Carrier. With that in mind and with an impressive cast, we are really looking forward to seeing The Flood hit the big screen.
