Actress Nina Dobrev has been in the acting industry for many years now, becoming a global superstar thanks to the success of the hit The CW television series The Vampire Diaries. Fans around the world were disappointed to learn that Nina had quit The Vampire Diaries but the actress is looking to prove herself on the big screen, starting with her new movie The Final Girls.
We have seen The Final Girls hitting a number of film festivals already this year, with even more to come, before the movie gets its official release in the US next month. Earlier this month, we saw The Final Girls featuring at the Toronto International Film Festival, while it still has three more festivals to hit, before we can finally see the new movie on the big screen.
We are sure that there are plenty of you who already know what to expect from The Final Girls but, for those of you wanting to know more, it is described as "A young woman grieving the loss of her mother, a famous scream queen from the 1980s, finds herself pulled into the world of her mom's most famous movie. Reunited, the women must fight off the film's maniacal killer."
As well as starring Nina Dobrev, The Final Girls also includes names such as Alexander Ludwig, Alia Shawkat, Malin Akerman, Taissa Farmiga, and Adam DeVine, to name just a few. The Final Girls is directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, based on the screenplay developed by M.A. Fortin and Joshua John Miller, with the movie finally opening on October 9 in the US.
