It seems that there has been a long history of sexism in Hollywood and the issue has now become one of the biggest talking points in the industry, with a huge amount of stars coming out to give their view on the subject. We have heard from people all over the acting industry, from actors, actresses, producers, directors and pretty much everyone else you can think of.

The latest star to speak out about the issue with sexism in Hollywood, is the veteran actress Sandra Bullock, who has been working in the industry for many years now. Sandra says she is now stranger to the problem, as she has experienced it first hand in the past.
Bullock was chatting at the press conference for Our Brand is Crisis, when she explained, "I never knew that there were limitations where I was looked at as less than until I was actually pretty deep in this business and I had a pretty unsettling moment, and I went 'Oh my God, I'm being treated this way because I'm female'."

She added, "I grew up to be exactly who I was supposed to be and have the opinions I wanted to have and didn't think there were limitations to that. So I thought, politically, I was pretty open minded and could speak my mind and then I saw I wasn't supposed to."
It looks like we are going to continue to hear people talking about the Hollywood sexism issue until something is done about. Let's hope that the right people in the industry make the changes that are clearly needed and soon.
