When it comes to awards season, the biggest and most eagerly anticipated of them all has to be the Academy Awards, which is supposed to honor the best of the best. However, over the years, we have seen some average actors and actresses managing to take home an Oscar thanks to a one-off performance, while there are some hugely talented stars who continue to leave empty-handed.

Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper has been in the acting industry for many years now and he has given us some truly fantastic performances along the way, in some very impressive movies. This has led to Bradley being nominated for an Academy Award on three occasions but, unfortunately for the actor, he has missed out on winning the gong every single time.
Bradley Cooper got his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the 2012 movie Silver Linings Playbook, with the Oscar going to Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln. The following year, Bradley was nominated for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in American Hustle, with the Academy Award going to Jared Leto for Dallas Buyers Club. Then, earlier this year, Cooper was once again up for the Best Actor Oscar for American Sniper, this time missing out to Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything.

Bradley Cooper must be wondering what he has to do to win an Academy Award, even having to consider the fact that he actually might never win an Oscar. With his obvious acting talent, we are sure that Bradley will land more nominations in the future and surely it is only a matter of time before he wins one.
