There was once a time when Canadian beauty Evangeline Lilly was one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood, thanks to her performance in the role of Kate in the hit television series Lost. However, just as Evangeline was seriously coming into her prime as an actress, she announced that she had decided to retire from acting to focus on some personal projects of her own.
Fortunately though, while writing the screenplay for the big screen adaptation of The Hobbit, Peter Jackson decided to write in an original character and persuade Evangeline Lilly to rethink her retirement to take on the role. Following that, Evangeline was then offered the role of Hope van Dyne in the Marvel movie Ant-Man, which would then see her become the superhero The Wasp in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Now we know that Evangeline Lilly does not like to take on too many new movie projects at once these days, and she has signed on to a multi-picture deal with Marvel, but will we get to see her taking on any new non-Marvel movie roles in the future. Don't get us wrong, we loved her in Ant-Man and think she will make a fantastic addition to The Avengers, but we would love to see even more from her.
With that said, there does not seem to be any new movie projects on her schedule, apart from the fact we will see Evangeline Lilly reprising her role as Hope van Dyne aka The Wasp in the new Marvel movie project Ant-Man and The Wasp. Let's hope that someone can convince Evangeline to take on another new role in the near future.
